01 — Our story
We were not built as a simple trading business. Our foundation draws on industrial lifting equipment experience dating back to 1978, when long-term knowledge in crane-related products, manufacturing practice, product application and customer service began to take shape. Over time, that experience formed a clear vision: to bring mature lifting equipment knowledge into a market that values safety, standards, reliability and long-term responsibility.
Australia was chosen as our base because the Australian industrial market places strong emphasis on safety, documentation and practical product suitability — the right environment to build trust, raise product expectations and support customers with more than just price and availability.
Outback Lifting was created to combine international supply capability, long-term lifting industry experience, German-style service discipline and Australian market expectations — supporting crane manufacturers, installers, service companies, industrial maintenance businesses, equipment suppliers, resellers and distributors by providing selected crane-related components with clearer information and local support.
Our role is to support Australia's lifting industry — not to compete with crane manufacturers, installers or service companies. We work alongside these businesses by providing product supply, documentation and local support that help them deliver better outcomes to their own customers.
02 — Founder's background
German industrial discipline, applied to product supply
Experience
Our founder brings nearly ten years of product sales and engineering-related experience with SEW-Eurodrive, a German industrial brand known for engineering discipline, product reliability and professional customer service.
Standards
That background shaped our expectations for product quality, documentation, product selection and customer support — and our aim to bring a higher level of service discipline into industrial product supply.

04 — Who we support
Built to sit alongside the lifting industry
05 — Market challenges we address
Supply, documentation and consistency gaps
Common supply challenges
- Limited local product options
- Long supply lead times
- High component costs
- Difficulty identifying suitable replacement products
Quality and documentation risks
- Incomplete documentation for imported products
- Inconsistent product quality
- Unclear after-sales responsibility
- Stock held by individual companies without systematic product checks
How we address them: responsible product selection, supplier accountability, technical documentation review and Queensland-based stock for selected products.
06 — Documentation and product support
No blind importing
We place strong emphasis on product information, documentation and application suitability. We do not believe in blindly importing products without clear documentation or accountability.
Product specifications
Ratings, construction, dimensions and intended applications, so customers understand exactly what they are buying.
Technical documents
Test reports or technical documents, depending on product type, to support product review and selection.
Application support
Help confirming suitable applications and identifying appropriate product options for industrial use.
Product identification
Clear marking, identification and documentation so supplied products can be better understood and managed.
Compliance awareness
We take Australian industrial application requirements seriously and support customers with more responsible product supply.
Supplier accountability
We work with suppliers who stand behind product information, documentation and longer-term supply responsibility.
07 — Quality philosophy
Quality beyond the product itself
For Outback Lifting, quality is not only about the product itself. It includes product selection, documentation, supplier responsibility, consistency, application suitability and after-sales support. Industrial customers need more than a low-cost component — they need products supplied with clearer information, practical support and a responsible supply chain.
We approach product supply with attention to how products are selected, installed, used and maintained in real industrial environments, and we choose products and suppliers with consideration for documentation, suitability, repeatability and long-term support.
Australia was chosen as our foundation because the Australian market places strong emphasis on safety, standards and long-term reliability. We maintain local stock in Queensland to support faster supply of selected crane-related components — helping customers reduce reliance on overseas lead times and access product support through an Australian-based point of contact.
Our role: intentionally focused on product supply, components, documentation and local support. We are not an installation contractor, maintenance contractor or competitor to crane service businesses.
